Four Month Anniversary
This week marks the fourth month anniversary of Major PR; and what a four months it has been.
The fact I haven’t had time to blog must be a good thing, well that’s the way I am pitching it anyway!!
Thankfully there have been many more highs than lows in this delicate launch period. Friends and mentors told me to expect a rollercoaster ride of emotions but it’s really been a lot of fun, as well as a lot of hard work.
My mentors have been my rock and I can’t impress upon anyone enough the need to have people around you who can offer help and advice in your hour of uncertainty.
So, what have I been up to?
I’ve led the UK launch for Jay Z’s new Armand de Brignac Blanc de Noir Champagne. No, I didn’t get to meet with Jay Z or Beyonce but I met with the lovely winemakers Jean-Jacques Cattier and Alexandre Cattier.
The inaugural Wine Show Chelsea for The Drinks Business was attended by more than 2,000 wine lovers, proving there is still a thirst for knowledge when it comes to people looking to expand their wine horizons.
Major PR went international and I flew to Portugal for two days to meet with a winemaker to discuss a very exciting project for 2016.
Another highlight was a night in a Grade II listed Dovecote which has been converted into one of three beautiful Old Estate Rooms on a country estate in Berkshire. It was a truly unique experience and the bonus of a press trip I hosted with wedding media.
Much like the last four months, I’m expecting the next four to be full of fun, challenges and surprises.
I must get to grips with my accounts (I knew this area wouldn’t be one of my strengths). I’m pleased to say spending more time in my home office hasn’t enticed me into more housework, much to the disappointment of my husband, but nor have I used the extra time not commuting for more beach walks I had planned and general exercise. A must for 2016!!!!
Thanks to everyone who has helped and supported me with the launch of Major PR. Here’s to a bright and successful 2016.
