Press Visits

There is nothing quite like experiencing things first hand therefore I encourage all my clients to host Press Visits where possible.

As you will see in the example Case Study here, my first Press Visit since launching Major PR was for the opening of Wasing Park’s new Estate Rooms which had been lovingly converted from a Granary, Smithy and Dovecote into beautiful bedrooms for wedding guests.

Ordinarily this kind of launch wouldn’t necessarily attract a huge amount of press but I worked with Wasing to create a story around the venue being part of a thriving country estate in a time when many others were being forced into disrepair because of lack of funds. I brought in an expert from the County Landowners Association and the launch received coverage on BBC South Today television, BBC Radio Berkshire and in a number of national, regional and local press.

I believe Press Visits are the best way for a journalist to see and feel what my client’s business is all about. Whether this a walk through a vineyard, a tour of a cellar or the memory of tasting a glass of something delicious in situ.

I pride myself on putting on great events and media visits and believe it is important to tend to my guests’ every need, be that having spare Euros for the toilets at the train station in Paris, to catering for detailed dietary requirements or being the last person to go to bed at the end of the night.
